Amis A.E.L. Friends

Salut Jean-Guy

Bonjour,

Hi,

A note from John Butlin

It is with regret that I must notify you that Jean Guy Cousineau passed away on Friday July 15, 2005. Jean Guy suffered heart failure after complications with Pneumonia. It was his wishes that there be no Ceremony and that donations in his remembrance be given to the autism society of Canada.http://www.autismsocietycanada.ca Jean is survived by his wife, Suzanne, who also worked at Aviation Electric, and his daughter, Sylvie son in law, Stéphane Sigouin and two grand children, Laurence et Simon.

Jean Guy started at Aviation Electric just after the move to Laurentian Blvd. in the early 50's. He started in the mail room and retired in 1998 as the Materials Manager. He embodied everything that made Aviation Electric a great place to work. He was a firm but fair boss, respected by his employees, his fellow managers and higher executives. A humble man who always gave credit to his team of employees. During his last three years as Materials Manager, we delivered 100% on time to Pratt & Whitney demonstrating his excellence.

We will be meeting to remember Jean Guy, at the Brassiere where we met so many times, on August 4th, 2005, from 4:00 P.M. to ... at Resto-Bar St. Laurent, 1300 Marcel Laurin Blvd, Ville St. Laurent.

Jean Guy was a role model, a mentor, a friend, I will miss him greatly.

I'm sorry to hear such sad news. Jean-Guy was one of the very few managers I have worked for who treated his employees with respect and admiration. It was such a simple lesson, and guaranteed that the team around him was loyal, happy and fiercely proud to work together successfully. We send our sympathies.

Jean-Guy was a very admirable man. He was soft-spoken, yet strong in presence. He will be greatly missed.
